By creating an account or using Cairn, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Cairn is an online diagram and flowchart tool. It has two editions: Basic, which is free and runs in your browser without an account, and Cairn Pro, a paid subscription with additional features (such as AI generation, multi-page boards and more). We may add, change or remove features over time.
Cairn Pro requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into a contract. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Cairn Pro is a digital service that starts immediately, by subscribing you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully provided. Even so, if you are unhappy shortly after subscribing, contact us and we will consider a fair refund in good faith.
You keep all rights to the diagrams and content you create. We do not claim ownership of them. Basic stores your work in your browser; we do not receive it. When you use AI features, the text prompt you submit is sent to our server and our AI provider to generate a result (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for what you create and must not use Cairn for unlawful, infringing or harmful content.
You agree not to misuse the service, including: breaking the law, infringing others' rights, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows, or reselling access without our agreement.
AI-generated diagrams are produced automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review them before relying on them. They are provided "as is".
We aim to keep Cairn available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, and will give notice where reasonable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you did not export or back up. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using Cairn at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or the law.
These Terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Consumers in the EU can use the Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and, for material changes, give reasonable notice.
